First set of falls in the park.

Welcome to Rock Island State Park, a place where serenity and beauty meet, making this an incredible destination.

This park, while a hidden treasure, comprises two distinct areas. The initial entrance typically attracts a sizeable crowd and provides access to the gorge. Venturing into the gorge entails some risk, as it may be subject to rising water levels or the possible release of floodgates at the dam. Nonetheless, if circumstances permit, this expedition is undoubtedly worthwhile.

The Gorge

The moderately challenging nature of the trail necessitates caution, especially for individuals with limited experience or medical reason that do not premit navigating stairs. Additionally, the presence of running springs renders certain sections of the rock steps slippery.

The Trail Down to the Gorge.

Upon entering the park, visitors will encounter historical landmarks that vividly depict the area's rich history. The first point of interest is an old cotton mill located just inches from the road, with the road skillfully built around the structure. Adjacent to it stands the original pump house, responsible for drawing fresh spring water to the surface.

The second section of Twin Falls Park is a secluded area with no other visitors in sight during our visit. This allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. Although it is a short drive from the park's main entrance, our journey was slightly delayed due to ongoing construction.
