Uncovering the Perfect Clean: Prepping Our North Trail 26LRSS Camper for a 2-Week Camping Trip While Pregnant

As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, it's the perfect season to embark on an outdoor adventure with our trusty North Trail 26LRSS camper. Whether you're a seasoned camper or a first-timer, one thing that remains constant is the importance of preparing your camper for a 2-week camping trip, especially if you're pregnant.

Inside the Camper: A Sanctuary on Wheels

The interior of your camper is your sanctuary on wheels, providing comfort and relaxation after a day of exploring the great outdoors. Begin your seasonal cleaning by decluttering and organizing the living space. Simplify your belongings to create a serene environment conducive to relaxation.

Dust off the shelves, wipe down the surfaces, and pay special attention to areas that often go unnoticed. A clean and inviting interior can make a world of difference, ensuring that your camping experience is as pleasant as possible

This will be my first time cleaning such a large camper that we own! While I have experience cleaning smaller campers in the past, including a family pop-up camper and my father-in-law's converted trailer, this will be our first camper together. Apart from living in it for three months this winter while renovating our home, this upcoming camping trip will be our maiden voyage in our camper! I usually begin by cleaning surfaces with bleach, but being pregnant, I am cautious about the chemicals I use. I now opt for soap and water followed by the Myers Clean Day Multi-Surface Cleaner, which not only effectively tackles dirt and grime but also has a pleasant scent and is environmentally friendly and safe for me. I typically start in the kitchen and then move on to the bedroom.

Cleaning the camper is not just a routine task for me; it's a way to prepare for the adventures that lie ahead. As I meticulously go through each area of the camper, I can't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the memories we will create during our travels. The kitchen, which is often the heart of any home, is where I begin my cleaning ritual. I pay special attention to the countertops, ensuring they are not only spotless but also sanitized for our safety. Moving on to the bedroom, I take the time to dust and organize the space, creating a cozy environment for rest and relaxation after a long day of exploring the great outdoors. As I make the bed and fluff the pillows, I imagine the nights we will spend under the stars, surrounded by nature's tranquility. When it comes to the floors, I understand the importance of keeping them clean, especially with our furry friends accompanying us on our travels. By sweeping and mopping diligently, I aim to maintain a hygienic environment inside the camper, free from dirt and mud that may be brought in from outside. Setting up an air freshener is the final touch to my cleaning routine, adding a touch of freshness and comfort to our living space on wheels. The subtle scent lingering in the air serves as a reminder of the care and effort I put into preparing our camper for the upcoming journey. Each step of the cleaning process is not just about maintaining cleanliness; it's about creating a welcoming and safe environment for our adventures ahead. As I finish cleaning our camper, I am filled with excitement and readiness to embark on our maiden voyage, knowing that our home on wheels is now a clean and inviting sanctuary for us to enjoy.

Outside the Camper: Embracing Nature's Beauty

The exterior of our North Trail 26LRSS is just as important as the interior. Give your camper a thorough wash to remove any dirt or grime accumulated during storage. Check the tires, lights, and hitch to ensure everything is in working order. Maintaining the exterior not only adds to the aesthetics but also contributes to the overall functionality of your camper.

When it comes to maintaining the exterior of the camper, Dustin takes charge with meticulous care and attention to detail. He begins by utilizing Adam's Polishes wash and wax products to ensure a thorough and effective cleaning process. The H2O Garden Gloss is then applied to enhance the shine and protection of the camper's exterior surfaces. Dustin loves this product for its hydrophobic properties!

For the wheels and tires, Dustin relies on Adam's Polishes wheel and tire cleaner, which effectively removes dirt and grime while restoring the original luster of the wheels. To add the finishing touch, he applies Adam's Polishes tire shine, leaving the tires looking glossy and well-maintained.

Furthermore, Dustin pays special attention to the rubber seals and trim of the camper by using Adam's Polishes VRT. This product not only rejuvenates the rubber surfaces but also provides long-lasting protection against the elements. From the top to the bottom, Dustin ensures that every detail is taken care of to keep the camper looking its best.

Moving Between Two Campsites: A Nomadic Adventure

The beauty of camping lies in the freedom to move between two campsites, each offering its unique charm and ambiance. Embrace the nomadic spirit as you transition from one location to another, exploring diverse landscapes and creating lasting memories along the way. Take your time to soak in the beauty of each campsite, immersing yourself in nature's wonders.

We will be camping at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee, specifically at Dustins families favorite spot in the main campground, Camp number B111. This spot holds a special significance to the Spicer family, as it has been a time-honored tradition for generations. It is a place where stories of adventure, laughter, and togetherness have been passed down through the years. As we embark on this trip, I am filled with a sense of excitement knowing that I will be introducing the fifth generation to this cherished family tradition. For my husband, Dustin, this spot is more than just a campground - it is a place filled with memories of his childhood. He fondly recalls the times spent traveling here with his parents, Jennifer and Phillip, creating lasting memories as a family. The image of young Dustin exploring the trails with his Grammy and Pappy brings a smile to his face, as he reminisces about the joy and love that filled those moments. Despite the changes that life has brought, Fall Creek Falls State Park remains a constant in Dustin's life, a place where the memories of his family continue to thrive. I feel privileged to be a part of this connection, to witness the nostalgia and happiness that this place brings to him. And as we look towards the future, I am filled with anticipation at the thought of one day bringing our own child to experience the magic of this place, to create new memories that will be cherished for generations to come. The following week will be spent in spot B64 creating more memories since we were unable to secure B111 for 2 straight weeks.
